Senior Manager, Events and Experiential

Position Purpose

The Senior Manager, Events and Experiential is responsible for leading the Event team to deliver exceptional projects including; Event Producers, Event Managers and Event Coordinators. The Senior Manager, Events and Experiential will also need to assist and support event projects when required by the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director, Events and Experiential, to help lead and manage the Events Team
  • Work with the internal events teams to lead and support all projects 
  • Set up regular one to one meetings with your reports when required
  • Have regular one to one meetings with Director, Events and Experiential, and provide updates of projects and the team
  • Work with the Director, Events and Experiential to manage team resourcing
  • Oversee the event planning, design, budgeting and production of the teams projects
  • Review processes and working documents from the team including; Project Plans, Budgets, Working Decks and other project related documents
  • Produce and update client-facing decks and documents when required
  • Assist the team with logistics and liaison of details such as venue, food and beverage, AV, decor, entertainment and printing when required
  • Lead the team so all projects are organised and delivered to an exceptional standard
  • Build relationships with suppliers to ensure we get the best solution, results and pricing
  • Nurture customer relationships and assist the team to build relationships and grow new business
  • Look for opportunities to upsell other CAPITAL-e offerings on projects
  • Some onsite management of events
  • Some international and national travel required on occasion

Experience/Qualifications Required To Perform This Position

  • Sydney venue & supplier knowledge essential
  • Experience running high volume of small and large scale events
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Experience using Google Docs, Excel, Word
  • A degree in Marketing / Events / Communications preferable
  • 5+ years in Event Management role
